Chopper Spins Out of Control into Palm Groves at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline
A helicopter hovering above a popular California beach abruptly began spiraling uncontrollably, finally dropping height and crashing into a cluster of palm fronds as spectators looked on.
Recordings posted online depict the helicopter commencing to spiral over the beach then plunging towards the edge of the shore, where it becomes wedged among palms and a staircase near the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Details
The Huntington Beach fire department said five people were taken to hospital including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the crash on that day.
Three persons on the road were injured. Information on their condition were still under review.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.

Authorities mentioned the helicopter was connected to an yearly “Cars N Copters” charity gathering set for Sunday.
